To be honest I thought the 2nd Book in the series was already published. But sadly I - No! This book was such a sweet shifter romance. Three pack outcasts and best friends are forced to flee their birth pack. It is a very traumatic experience for the Alpha and two Betas. They started fresh in jobs perfect for both their Wolf and Human counterparts. Their new homes, jobs, and lives all meshed. But one very important thing was missing were mates.This is a great beginner novel for people who haven't read much or any stories featuring shifters. It was a refreshing story reminding me why I fell in love with shifters and mates. It was entertaining, humorous, and thrilling. Major themes include the importance of friendship, wanting the best for your friends, where friendship is synonymous with being brothers. Featuring down to earth characters, family frustrations, and domestic / verbal abuse. The sweetness of first love and the excitement of finding a mate.This is a tender, sweet story laced with gentleness. And as is found often in shifter tales there is some brutality (violence). I highly recommend this and eagerly await the 2nd book in the series. I loved the whole book. I loved how they saved him when he went over the ridge. Finally a book that has mates front and center and not being put somewhere when they go off to fight. Anyway I enjoyed the book. Will continue to buy them. Thank you Jayda.
